My name is Ingrid. Some of the hats I wear include wife, mom, and substitute teacher. Those roles take up a lot of my time, but in my free time I enjoy making cards to share with others.
My sister loves to tell a story that I think explains a lot about me. As a young child, she asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up and I responded that I wanted to be a Care Bear. (Can you tell I’m a child of the 80’s?!) I was very adamant. I did not what to dress up as one. Not pretend to be one. I wanted to actually be one. I was always drawn to how they spread love, kindness, and joy.
While my dreams have changed, one of the things that hasn’t is my deep desire to spread joy and love and to encourage others. I think that’s why I enjoy card making so much. It gives me the chance to create something that can brighten someone’s day.
I do my best to live purposefully with that goal–to encourage others and spread joy. As a Christian, I believe and am grateful for the ultimate joy that I have in Jesus.
