Hello everyone,
I’m excited to be guest designing for Poppystamps Monthly Challenge! Be sure to head to their blog for more details about how you can win a $20 gift certificate!
This month the challenge is Leaves are Falling, Autumn is Calling. For my card, I chose to use the Whittle Oak Leaf Die to make a beautiful wreath. I originally was going to cut them out of colored cardstock but I just couldn’t resist the idea of sparkly leaves. I used gold glitter cardstock from the Memory Box Festive Glitter Pad. I wanted to add some more fall colors to the leaves so I used various orange, red, and brown shades of alcohol markers to add some more fall colors to the leaves.
I decided to make an A7 (5 x 7) card so that I could make a large wreath. I cut a piece of Kraft Card Stock just slightly smaller than the card base and splattered it with Red Gold Watercolor Paint. (I used Gansai Tambi Starry Colors.) I glued the panel to the card base and then I glued the leaves in a wreath shape to the panel. I only placed the glue along the center of the leaves so I could slightly pull up the edges to add dimension.
I used Poppystamps Marzipan Alphabet to diecut the letters for FALL HUGS. I added them to the center of wreath using foam tape to add more dimension. I cut out several hearts all at once using Poppystamps Heart Jumble Die and also adhered those with foam tape.
It’s a simple card but I love how it turned out! Thanks again to Poppystamps for these beautiful products and for inviting me to join along in the fun!
